Manager Commissions

Managers usually receive a commission of 10-25% of the artist's earnings.
20% is claimed to be the standard rate.

Usually manager commissions will be calculated from gross earnings after the deduction of set expenses. These set expenses are primarily money that only passes through the artist's hands, such as recording expenses and tour support from the record company.

Commissionable gross earnings include income generated by the recording and publishing deals negotiated by the manager.
